Bible Study Topics - New Testament

There are 27 books in the New Testament and they fall in three different categories.  Each category is a type of literature.  The three types of literature found in the New Testament include History, Letters and Prophecy.

History:  The first four books are called the Gospels and they provide accurate description  and record of Jesus Christ.  Acts, which is part 2 of Luke, is about the early church

Letters:  All of Paul’s letters except for Philemon were written to Christian groups.

Prophecy:  The book of Revelation was written by the apostle John.  It contains seven letters to churches.
